Certification Process

How do you become certified in Texas?  We can guide you through the process:

  1. Pass the content exam (PACT) for your certification area (we will provide recommendations as to which test to take).  Tutorials are available if needed for an additional fee.

  1. Apply to Quality ACT by submitting completed application and official transcripts.

  2. You will be notified upon acceptance to the program and will immediately begin an online foundations course.

  3. You will be guided through the required observations, instruction, and job search.

  4. After obtaining a teaching position, you will be supported by an exemplary master teacher serving as your Field Supervisor.

 What is the deadline for applying? 

Our application process is ongoing.  Once an application packet is received, the best and quickest route to certification is then determined. 

To attend Summer Institute 2012, you will need to have passed your content test, have your “Official” Acceptance Letter into the Quality ACT program, as well as 30 hours of observations completed by June 15, 2012.  You may attend Summer Institute 2012 IF you have the above referenced items completed OR a JOB with a district by June 15th, 2012 and all of the above.

When and where are your classes held? 

All classes are held in the evenings and on Saturdays in a centrally located area in the metroplex and are scheduled on an as-needed basis.  Specific dates and times of the Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities Summer Institute will be posted on the Quality ACT website.
